Noel Ravela

Registered Manager

Meet our esteemed care Home Manager, Noel Ravela, a dedicated Registered Nurse with a wealth of experience in the healthcare sector. Noel is registered with CQC as a Registered Manager for Ashtonleigh Nursing Home and holds a degree in Health Care Management. Noel brings an exceptional blend of clinical expertise and managerial skills to our facility. Noel has been part of the Ashton Group for more than 5 years and has worked as a deputy manager in one of our sister homes Ashton House in Haywards Heath where he ably deputised for 100 bedded nursing home. Noel ensures that the staff attend regular training courses to keep their knowledge up to date to guarantee that the care the residents receive meets the residents needs as well as CQC standards. Noel manages a team of deputy manager, clinical lead, registered nurses and carer staff as well as domiciliary staff to ensure that the home runs smoothly and that they comply with CQC regulations. Noel also assists our overseas staff in gaining their NMC Pin Number through rigorous training to become Registered Nurses in the UK.

Deputy Manager & Clinical Lead

Our dedicated team, led by our Registered manager Noel, is committed to ensuring that every individual feels comfortable, safe and valued. Ashtonleigh has a Deputy manager and a clinical lead, who work closely with our Registered manager to deliver the highest standard of care. Together they bring a wealth of experience, compassion and expertise to our community, ensuring that all our residents receive personalized and attentive care.
Deputy Manager: with a focus on day-to-day operations and resident satisfaction, our Deputy Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining the smooth running of our home
Clinical lead: Overseeing the medical and health needs of our residents, our clinical lead ensures that every individual receives the best possible healthcare.

Registered nurses

The home has nursing care 24 hours per day. There is a nurse on shift at all times of the day, the night and weekends. All our nurses are trained to a high standard to complete nursing duties for catheterisation, venepuncture, wound care and verification of death. Most of our nurses are allocated champions in a specific area, who have specific training and share their knowledge and experience with other staff.

Care Lead

Caroline Hillier

Caroline has been employed at Ashtonleigh since 2013 and is the Infection Control and Prevention Champion as well as being the Care Lead. Caroline has also completed a Level 5 QCF in Lead Adult Care Worker. Caroline leads a team of Senior Care staff as well as Junior care staff to ensure the residents are assisted with their personal care, activities of daily living as well as socialising with them and maintaining good levels of nutrition and hydration and that all of their needs are being met.

Kaddy Samateh

Team leader

Kaddy has been employed at Ashtonleigh since 2015 and she is a Team leader for night shift. Kaddy has completed Lead adult care worker Level 3 and leads a team of sr carers and as well as jr carers in the night shift. Kaddy ensures the night care staff are working effectively and supervises and trains the night staff.

Senior Carers and Carers

The senior carers also assist the residents with their personal care and deal with administration of medication and supervise the carers. Some senior carers are Keyworkers and are responsible for updating and reviewing residents care plans.

The carers assist the residents with their personal care and activities of daily living as well as socialising with them and maintaining good levels of nutrition and hydration.

​Emily Woodhouse

Administrator

Emily is our friendly and experienced receptionist/administrator. She warmly welcomes everyone into the home and has experience in admin and reception work. Emily liaises with professionals, relatives and visitors to the home and is proud to show our home when viewings are requested. Emily has a good repour with the residents and can often be found engaging in conversations with them. Emily has a history within the care industry and is always willing to help where necessary.

Helen Beaumont

Head Chef

Helen has worked at Ashtonleigh for over 10 years, taking over from Dot as head chef. Helen produces excellent food for our residents. Helen and her team pride themselves on their 5-star excellent food safety rating with Horsham Council for their excellent standards within the kitchen at Ashtonleigh. She is well versed in offering different culinary diets such as food for people on a gluten free diet, vegetarian, diabetes and multi-cultural diets.

This nursing and residential care home in Horsham West Sussex has experienced activity coordinators who provide a wide variety of stimulating activities throughout the day. They have a variety of weekly clubs for the residents to participate in such as Floristry, Gardening, Baking. They have a weekly pub quiz and bingo along with exercise routines and trips out.

Here at Ashtonleigh we pride ourselves on engagement with residents, any events that are held, residents are always assisting with preparations and decorations, adding their personal touch to every event.

Housekeepers

Ashton leigh have a dedicated team of housekeepers that are committed to ensure the home is of a high standard of cleanliness and that on-site laundry staff keep the residents well groomed with freshly washed and ironed clothing daily.

Bittu Sebastian

Home Maintenance Man

Bittu is the home' maintenance man and works 5 days a week ensuring that maintenance issues are rectified as soon as possible and liaising with outside contractors.
