Food

Ashtonleigh is blessed to enjoy the culinary delights of Dot Sheppard and her team. Dot has been with the home since it opened over 20 years ago. She is very much more than just a cook, she gets to know each of the home's residents, their likes and dislikes for food and any dietary requirements or preferences they may have. She really represents the ethos of the home and strives to offer the residents whatever they wish for. One gentleman for example enjoyed lobster on his 100th birthday, along with a glass of wine, but whatever the residents choice is the home will do its best to cater for this. In addition, the home caters for special diets like Diabetes, vegetarian, religious diets etc.

The meals are all freshly prepared each day and are wholesome and nutritionally balanced. We encourage the residents to come to the dining area every day and glasses of wine ,red, white or rose, sherry or whiskey are offered to the residents if they wish to partake. If the residents prefer to have their meals in the room then we offer the same service to them in their rooms.
